The commercial and industrial port of Topolobampo is located Northwest of Mexico , in the state of Sinaloa, by the Pacific Ocean , 200 miles away from the entrance into the Gulf Of California .

The port is situated in one of the greatest agricultural regions of the nation. Its main activity is based in the handling of agricultural products. Corn grains represent 49 % from the whole handling cargo of agricultural products. This region has 415 thousand irrigating hectares which correspond to 55% from the total surface in Sinaloa.

Topolobampo has important connections toward north with main border cities in the United States such as Nogales and Mexicali ; toward south with other important cities from Sinaloa such as Los Mochis , Culiacan and Mazatlan . Besides, it has a privileged position in products handling from and to West countries, having the South region of the USA as the origin and destination through two main railroads. The port is connected to all the country by highway.
